scarves and cowls Call them cowls, smoke rings, even snoods (according to the Wall Street Journal), these neck warmers are fashion's hottest item for winter wear. And scarves continue to be a great look year round.
Knitting 201: Resolution Collar New Time! Saturday, March 27, April 3, 10, 10:30 am -12:30 pm Resolution #1: I resolve to be a better knitter. Making a stylish neck warmer, we'll study cast ons, cables, short rows, increases and decreases, fixing mistakes and finishing. We'll spend three weeks on this small project because we'll work to understand everything we do. Students should be competent at knit and purl, with a few complete projects to their names, and be ready to be "the boss of their knitting," in the words of knitting legend Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Moebius Scarf or Wrap Saturday, April 17, 1-3:30 pm This
Cat Bordhi pattern has been a favorite of ours for some time --
and this is a great time to make it, since fringed scarves are all the
rage and Cat herself is coming to teach for us later this spring! In anticipation, we'll learn her Moebius cast on
and a simple wrap-stitch pattern to make this very wearable circular
scarf. Instructor: Jane Cost: $25
